Join us at the Curious Minds Research Festival 2026, showcasing the breadth of disciplines, research themes and outputs across RGU schools and departments.
We are delighted to welcome our partners and collaborators to this year’s Curious Minds research Festival, to celebrate together with the RGU community the fascinating and impactful research conducted by colleagues and students at our university.
Following the success of last year’s event, this year's showcase will feature another fascinating display of research at RGU. Expect Exploratorium exhibitions, engaging talks, the 3-Minute Thesis competition and more!
Over two days, the Sir Ian Wood Building will be turned into a research Exploratorium, showcasing research outputs, interactive activities, facility tours and information stalls.
Our Cabinet of Curious Ideas and Impact Showcase will celebrate a diverse range of research projects and ideas.
We will also support our fantastic PhD students at the 3MT competition and celebrate exemplary achievements at the Curious Minds Research Awards ceremony.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore RGUs research community and connect with potential collaborators.
Registration is only required for external guests, to help with logistics. Visitors please complete our online form.

Join us on our opening day of the festival, where you can spend the afternoon exploring a diverse range of talks, activities and networking opportunities to learn more about RGU’s contribution to research. All events will take place in the Sir Ian Wood Building on RGU Campus in the Amphitheatre, Library or the Exploratorium.

Exploratorium opens! Come along and further immerse yourself in the activities and exhibitions with over twenty-five exhibitors.

Join us on our tour of the Engineering facilities or the RGU Arts and Heritage Collection.
12:30 - 13:45 - Cabinet of Curious Ideas, Part 1
